Resetting QR Codes

If leaners lose their QR codes (phone gets lost, app is deleted etc.) you will need to reset their QR codes which allow access when multi-factor authentication is turned on.

📘 Instructions

  1. Log in as a Administrator

  2. Go to System Setup > Defaults > Settings

  3. Find the key enableMFA and check that it is true

  4. Go to System Setup > Organisation and edit a user.

  5. Select Reset Authenticator

  6. Check that button has disappeared

  7. Log in as that user and check that authenticator can be now downloaded again.

If the button Reset Authenticator is not visible then check that MFA is switched on for the selected role. Edit the role and navigate to role details to find out.
